How to Use ContentPlan Pro
ContentPlan Pro is your all-in-one social media content planning toolkit. Schedule posts across multiple platforms, manage your content queue, save drafts for later, and capture creative ideas — all from a single, streamlined interface.
Dashboard
Your command center — see key stats, platform breakdowns, and upcoming posts at a glance.
View your total posts, scheduled, published, and draft counts in the stat cards at the top.
Check the Platform Breakdown pills to see how many posts are assigned to each social network.
Scroll down to see Upcoming Posts for the next 7 days, sorted by date and time.
Click New Post in the top-right to quickly create and schedule a new post.
Calendar
A monthly calendar view showing color-coded dots for each scheduled post, making it easy to visualize your content plan.
Use the left/right arrows to navigate between months.
Toggle platform filter pills at the top to show or hide posts for specific platforms.
Click any day on the calendar to open a side panel with that day's post details.
In the side panel, review captions, hashtags, and scheduled times for each post.
Click Add Post for This Day in the panel to schedule a new post for that date.
Queue
View and manage all your scheduled posts organized by platform, with quick edit and delete actions.
Each platform has its own section showing scheduled posts sorted by date.
Hover over a post to reveal the edit and delete buttons on the right side.
Click the edit icon to open the post in the editor modal, where you can update the caption, platform, date, and media type.
Click + Add to Queue on any platform to create a new post pre-assigned to that platform.
Use the trash icon to permanently remove a post from the queue.
Drafts
A holding area for posts that aren't ready to schedule yet. Refine your captions and finalize before going live.
All posts saved with the "Save as Draft" option appear here as cards.
Use the Sort by dropdown to organize drafts by newest, oldest, or platform.
Click Finish & Schedule on any draft to open the editor, set a date and time, and move it into the queue.
Use the trash button to discard drafts you no longer need.
Ideas
Capture and organize creative content ideas before they're ready to become posts. Tag them by platform and inspiration type.
Click New Idea to open the idea form and jot down a title, notes, target platforms, and inspiration category.
Ideas appear as color-coded cards on the board, making it easy to scan.
Click Convert to Draft on any idea card to automatically create a draft post from that idea.
Once converted, the idea is removed from the board and the new draft appears in the Drafts tab.
Delete ideas you've moved past using the trash icon on each card.
Tips & Tricks
1.
Watch the character count. When creating a post for multiple platforms, the editor automatically shows the strictest character limit (e.g., 280 for Twitter/X) and highlights in red if you go over.
2.
Platform color coding. Each platform has a unique color — Instagram is pink, Facebook is blue, LinkedIn is indigo, TikTok is teal, and Twitter/X is sky blue. Dots on the calendar and pills throughout the app use these colors for quick visual identification.
3.
Idea → Draft → Scheduled: the full pipeline. Capture a rough idea on the Ideas board, convert it to a draft to refine the caption and hashtags, then finish scheduling it with a date and time — all without leaving the app.
